I've been using the .org sight since it seemed to be the bigger of the two (regardless of whatever happened with the administrators). It looks like the .org site is down though?

Not sure either. I have been using the .org web site and tried to access it last night - daytime US and it was not working.

Just now when I check the .us web site it is working. Looks like they were doing an upgrade and possibly doing the final merge on the 2 web sites.

I belong there under a different username. My only complaint about the site is that are VERY pro-cop. Any post criticizing cops needs to cite impeccable online sources and demonstrate that the issue mentioned is unquestionably gun-related. Deviation from either standard will get an immediate clamp-down and post deletion from the mods. The administrator makes no bones about his views on this subject and openly considers "cop bashers" as unwelcome. Nevertheless, it IS an excellent source of information. I have basically given up on cop commentary there...

I agree. I am not anti-cop, there are some really good people in law enforcement, but there are plenty of jackasses and power hungry thugs. Their mods are nazis and the people tend to be rather self-righteous. I stopped going there a while ago.

Is he a hypocrite, or something else? Were he an ordinary THR member, he'd be banned for posting such images.

In the little time I have spent on that board looking around I found this. It a great place for getting straight forward knowledge about firearms. One of the members even put a 10 page comparison together about compact semi-auto pistols. Exactly what I was looking for since I am in the market for two.

Oleg Volk is not the administrator at THR.org. One of the admin stole the domain name, and it's currently involved in a lawsuit, hence THR.us. Even if Oleg did still own .org, most of the admin (& mods) are anal pruds and cops, and clamp down on anything anti cop.

Notice that there's a difference between anti cop and pro gun. The posters above are pro gun/pro personal responsibility for defense, not against the fuzz.

A lot of the mods at .org have shops that sell tons of gear to the JBTs. I'm sure in their own minds though they are great patriots ensuring the safety of the herd. Hopefully, Oleg wins the rights to his website back.

AOW, no, I find them to be truthful. Do you find them to be anti fuzz?

I don't hang at THR anymore, mainly because of the Fudds, Zumbos, and cop worshippers, but when I was there, I don't think someone would get zapped for saying you need a piece on you, rather than a cop at a donut shop. Simply mentioning that some out of control jerk fried grandma with a tazer might.
